Tips To Prolong Battery Life

One of the most frustrating experiences with a cell phone is needing it to place a call and discovering that the battery is dead. Here are a few tips that may help you prolong the life of your cell phone battery.

First of all, do not overcharge your battery. Many people make the mistake of charging their battery every day, whether it needs it or not. If you are charging your battery every day you can only expect it to last between six months and a year. If you change your habits and charge your battery every two or three days as needed, you could almost double its life.

The best way to make your battery last longer between charges is to cut off the power on your phone when you will not be using it for a long period of time. This could be because of travel or if you are in a remote area where your phone cannot pick up a signal, etc.

When your cell phone is working it is using more battery than when it sits idle. Just because you are not using the phone does not mean it is not still working to process data and other information. You can help minimize this by closing apps, Bluetooth connections, internet browser and GPS when you are done using them, leaving them running (even in the background) can quickly drain your battery.

One of the worst things you can do to a cell phone battery is leaving it in the car all the time. Depending where you live, there can be very harsh weather and exposing your battery to this on a daily basis can help deteriorate it quickly.

These are a few cell phone battery tips to help you extend the life of your battery. Cell phone batteries do not last forever, but if you do a few of the basics you will not have to buy a new one as often.
